Join Our Volunteer Planning Committee!

The National Kidney Foundation Serving Virginia is currently looking for interested volunteers to join our 2013 Planning Committee. Our Committee meets monthly to brainstorm and discuss enterainment ideas, logistics, promotion, sponsors, and volunteers. Welcome To Kidney Walk!

We are excited to have you for the 2013 Central Virginia Walk. We have lots of exciting information to share with you during the months leading up to the walk and look forward to meeting you at Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield (2015 Staples Mill Road) on October 26, 2013.

Fundraising for Kidney Walk is fun and easy. By using your walker center, you will be well on your way to having a successful fundraising campaign. Still need more information? Visit the Team Captain Center or Walker Center, whichever best describes your role for this year's event, or contact Liz King.

Please join us in welcoming Markette Smith, TV Anchor of Fox Richmond`s Morning Marketplace, to the NKF family! Markette will be the Emcee of this year's Central Virginia Kidney Walk! She earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and French from California State University, Dominguez Hills and has her master’s in Interactive Journalism from American University. She has appeared on ABC`s "Live! with Kelly" as a Top 4 contestant and the sole female finalist in the nationwide "Coast-to-Coast Co-host Search. She has been seen & heard nationwide as a lifestyle journalist and correspondent on NBC’s TODAY Show, VH1, NPR member station WAMU 88.5FM and AMC Movie News.

Incentives

You can earn great incentives for all your hard work. Every walker who raises a minimum of $100 will receive a Kidney Walk T-Shirt, but don't stop there. Our average walkers raise $200 and many continue fundraising to reach $1,000 where they can become a member of the Top Fundraiser's Club. 100% Challenge

 While it's not mandatory to donate to participate in the Kidney Walk, the money you raise can save lives in our community. We are asking that everyone who registers for this year's Kidney Walk raise or donate some amount of money. Walkers who raise at least $20 will receive lunch on Walk Day!
